Talia Mindich is a documentary filmmaker in the Bay Area who tells stories that probe well-worn narratives. Her work has explored the barriers to licensure for foreign-trained doctors, the murky world of women’s health, and the anguish and joy of later-in-life divorce. Talia currently holds the roles of assistant editor, associate producer, and archival producer. Her credits include the feature-length documentaries STRIPPED FOR PARTS, MODERNISM, INC., and STORY & PICTURES BY. Before pivoting to film, Talia wrote articles for publications including PBS NewsHour, The Hill, and Washingtonian. She also served in the Peace Corps at an Islamic boarding school in Indonesia, and as a federal background investigator on Capitol Hill. She has studied at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism and Kenyon College.
